MUSEUM: WAYS OF USING
Museum: ways of using was commissioned by the Inhotim Institute during Temporary Occupations, an event that invited art and design collectives to reinterpret the spaces of Inhotim, an open air contemporary art museum near Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
For this project, Micrópolis created a booklet that compiles some of the many ways visitors use the unconventional museum space, which sometimes are way beyond what is expected for a regular museum. The actions registered in the publication are not intended to serve as a standard of conduct, but rather to show how the museum’s open space allows for a variety of activities by its visitors, inspiring and encouraging new ways of occupying the museum’s space.
