ATHOS BULCÃO LEARNING PROGRAM
Athos Bulcão Learning Program is an educational booklet distributed to the public during the exhibition that celebrated the 100th anniversary of Brazilian modernist Athos Bulcão. The exhibition took place in the cities of Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.
The material is divided into two sections. The first one is an interactive poster that can be transformed by the readers, who may experiment different patterns and compositions.
The second part is a small text book on the history of decorative tiles in Brazilian architecture. In the back of the publication, the reader can find a white canvas onto which they can create an urban landscape by using a pack of stickers that comes attached to the material. The pack contained silhouettes of buildings and also reproductions of some of Athos Bulcão’s infamous tiles patterns, which could be used for creating different urban landscapes.
