INSTANTE INVISÍVEL
Exhibition design and visual identity for the exhibition Instante Invisível, by Brazilian photographer Eugênio Sávio, held at the Minas Tênis Clube Cultural Center, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
The graphic and exhibition design projects are based on the duality between the dynamic and the static, a tension that is constantly present in the work of Eugênio Sávio — from the athletes and the fans to the balls and the flags in stadiums, in addition to the photographer's own geographical displacement in search of registering events around the world.
By using flags as the starting point for the design solutions, the project materializes the idea of movement and creates various exhibition devices, serving as a basis for texts, signage and support for a sequence of photographs that simulates the movement of the ball towards the goal.
For the exhibition’s logo, a geometric sans serif font was chosen, applied in uppercase in order to cause greater impact. Then, we created a vertical-stripe-grid overlapping the typography, generating a segmentation of the text, and thus provoking the idea of movement and creating a game of figure vs. background, visibility vs. invisibility.
