MARAÚ COMMON SPACE
Located on the Maraú Peninsula, in Bahia, Brazil, this project consists of a collective summer house for a group of friends.
The project was developed from workshops with future occupants, in order to incorporate their wishes and needs into the design.
The construction is divided into two blocks, taking advantage of natural ventilation and creating diverse spaces and interstitial areas. The balcony that integrates the two main blocks surrounds the entire construction and provides privileged viewpoints of the beautiful landscape.
Local materials and construction techniques were used, such as the mixed structure of eucalyptus and sawn wood, the canabrava curtains in the balconies and the palm straw mats used in the pergola.
